For most of us, an Alaska cruise is one of those great vacation escapes that we have always dreamed about but just hadn't the time to experience. Now with cruise prices falling to their lowest prices in years, the time seems right for planning the voyage through the Inside Passage to Alaska. The problem is, as adults and having already raised kids ourselves, we really would like to take a cruise that caters mainly to grown ups. The sounds of children running around is one of the things we least desire to here as we attempt to enjoy the peace of one of the most fascinating places on earth. After months of reading and phone calls, it seems as though those desiring this type of Alaska vacation must settle for taking their trip during the school months in order to limit the number of children on board. The best we could find for an adult only Alaska cruise was to depart prior to June 15 or after September 15 as most families with children are at home for the school year. We found no dedicated cruises for Adult passengers only headed to Alaska but there are many themed cruises with itineraries that are best suited for adult passengers. Consult the cruise lines directly for more on this type of cruise as it varies from cruise line to cruise line.

Celebrity Cruise Line has offered adult only cruises in the past referred to as “Celebrity Escape Cruises” where all passengers must be over the age of 21. We could not verify if there would be a Celebrity Escape cruise for 2008 at the time of writing this article. We are attempting to verify this now.
