We choose a vacation that began with a great cruise that departed from New York and stopped in the Bahamas before reaching the Caribbean Island resort destination of Couples Resort in Negril Jamaica.

Couples Negril Resort is located on an inlet close to Jamaica's famed seven-mile beach. This is not just a nice beach, it is one of the most interesting coastal beaches that offers a taste of seclusion just a short distance from the resort and Jamaica.

Negril Beach Resort offers 234 rooms and is 1.2 miles from the beach. Other resorts in the area are Hedonism II that has 280 rooms and the Sea Splash Resort has another 17. Then there was the Grand Lido Negril Resort & Spa with 212 rooms, Sandals Negril Beach Resort has 110, Hotel Riu Tropical Bay offers 174 and Negril Cabins Resort boasts 86 more rooms so there is plenty of accommodations in the area to choose from.

The resort does offer other free trips to Margaritaville, remember this place from the song by Jimmy Buffet? Also on the free transportation list is Pirate's Cove, and a great local shopping excursion that could be dubbed as a guided tour as our driver was a real hoot. Want to get out on the water? take the free catamaran cruise or don some tanks and experience the thrill of course in scuba diving. Already an experienced diver? then the diving expedition is more for you, I personally needed the lessons. On to the glass bottom boat rides, windsurfing and a number of other water sports that can include instruction. Are you shy at heart? Be forewarned as nude sunbathing is permitted on the local beaches. For the more discrete tourist or for anyone traveling with children, the beaches of Montego Bay might be a better choice as they require everyone to be fully clothed.
